The ambition of the ARCHIVE of TERRESTRIAL EXTRACTS is to collect, catalog and disseminate contemporary built fragments. In a three-dimensional capture process, the ATE are an accumulation of significant and everyday sites.
3D scanning technologies are now aimed at archiving artistic and cultural heritage considered as such. To complete this process, the ATE capture a present state.
Archiving capabilities are multiplied by digital innovations, inducing time compression. The existence of instantaneous and permanent recordings constitutes a directly historicized accumulation. An archeology of the present.
